Are you a Houston area homeschooling parent having trouble finding your tribe? My family is too structured for the unschoolers, too liberal politically for both conservative and libertarian homeschoolers, and too Christian for the secular homeschoolers. We'd love to make some friends in small-sized Meetup events (the typically huge homeschooling events feel totally overwhelming to my children).

We're a group of liberal friends who meet once a week on Thursdays to chat about politics and hang out.  Though we're a happy hour group we try to choose locations with a wide variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages as well as food.  We also schedule weekend events as they arise.  The events are posted both on our Facebook page and here and RSVPs are gathered from both sites.  Join us on Facebook as well, and we hope to see you soon!
